I don't think it will. There were some mechanical differences that would not shift the same. I don't remember exactly but I had done some research on them years ago. Gm made 3 different 4l80e. I have both the early and late models right now. But you would run into two issues, one being a starting problem with the pcm. If it did start and go then you would most likely burn up the tranny or have shifting problems.
I am no expert but if my memory serves me correct.. Id say its a no go.
