I was nervous about flaring my own ends, but am happy to report they have been connected and filled almost 6 months now without any signs of leakage. Next will be to check them after they have been run with pressure...

By chance did you do them in stainless ? Yes doing the lines without more joints than needed makes for less headaches in the end.
