the CKS is the important part - according to geezer's link, same one I usually use, it's either:

1972 350 4 spd trans. LT1 255 hp 4bbl Z28 (of THIS, then ya better hang onto that sucker!)
or
1973 350 tur hydro, Calif 145 hp 2 bbl F A B (Camaro, chevelle, or impala/caprice)
or
1977 350 a/t, LM1 L 170 hp 4bbl F (i.e. Camaro)

agree that some #'s look inverted. Odd. But it's not original.
The V0917 means Flint MI plant, sept 17th.

Might want to check the casting number/ID on the rear of the block behind the heads.
