Re: Found some good GM lit. (hickey, OK)

Crimey,I think I've owned about every item on that list at one point along the way. Used to have that catalog, too. I was a mail away for catalog fool! And I did save them, but one thing or another came along and ruined or lost most from that far back. That OK Used Car lit is cool. I need to get me some. That's where it all began for me in '73 when I bought my first '72 at Sport Chevrolet. Like so many, the previous owner had rushed in to trade his "old style" barely used truck for one with the fresh new look. I kid you not when I say that bed didn't have a single scratch in it! $2,800 on the road

Those wheel locks worked as well,if not better, than the locks used today. If you tried to remove w/o unlocking it just spun free and you'd ruin the wheel any way you tried to remove them.

The '73 "cabs" are actually a major aerodynamic improvement over previous designs. They actually were a major change and step into the future (same design, basically, into as far s the '90s). It's all about the windshield and A-pillars. The hood came to the windshield and kicked up,wipers tucked under, windshield laid back and bowed from end to end,no drip rail, and more rounded at the A-pillars blending into the sides.

I tended to buy from Desert Dynamics over Hickey. I tried Googling them up before and I got all these results for current desert racing enterprise. Not sure if they are the same or it's a re-use of the name.
