Re: Bellhousing for a 62 ( which one)
There are a couple ways aside from the '60-'62 V8 bellhousing. One would be to use the standard '63-'67 bellhousing with a hydraulic clutch conversion from Novak. You could use the '68-'72 bellhousing with an adapter ring for the trans input bearing retainer. Second would be to use a '84-'91 bellhousing, which are setup with a hydraulic clutch. The issue with this is that you will have to remove the bellhousing crossmember and add a trans crossmember. Thirdly you could do away with the hydraulic clutch and convert to mechanical.
