A couple of years ago I bought one of those new downsized 59 Impala wheels, and the splines matched up perfectly. Unfortunately I had an aftermarket steering column that sank the top of the steering shaft too far down in the column housing. When I snugged the wheel down on the steering shaft, it clamped the wheel to the column and I couldn't turn the steering wheel. The new Ididit column I have now would have worked perfectly as the turn signal mechanism is right up at the top of the housing.
Just something to consider before spending your money.
