to tighten that steering, i would recommend the following:


idler arm
pitman arm
inner tie tods
outer tie rods


this should dramatically improve steering response. if you still have probs, then you might want to consider changing out the following as well:

a-arm bushings
ball joints

of course, changing out all of these would be best, and an alignment afterwards, of course....

if still probs, then you might need a new steering box, but that's last thing you would need to do. good luck!
