I have always had good luck with 3M products. If its light oxidation I would use "Finesse it" or if it is heavier use "Marine Color Gloss Restorer"
You can get both of these at most Boat stores. Ever since clearcoat became common most consumer automotive products don't have the abrasive needed to restore the paints on older vehicles.

Tooth paste does work too but its a little harsh and dries too quickly to get a good polish. Makes your truck minty fresh though.
