i get the real thick cork gaskets from tranny shops the ones that parts houses sell suck .. try coatin the gasket with grease before you install it that helps also check all holes for straightness might have to pen them like on an oil pan or valve cover.
Sometimes transmission pan gaskets are the hardest to get to seal.
