Yup, GM sold them as cab/chassis trucks, and the wrecker bodies and flatbeds or box was installed after production.
The rear that would be in there would be narower than a "normal" dually truck. The old ones tuck the 'extra' wheel in further, instad of out further like modern duallies to.
