I did my 85 awhile back, dont have that truck anymore. I do recall it was off of a 88 model I think, not a square body. also has to get a water pump from that year, has a reverse rotation. your old one will NOT work.... also there was something that had to be done with the alternator unless you have a serpentine belt pulley put on yours. I wanted the higher output alternator
