I agree with leddzepp. Have you noticed the buyers are middle aged or older? They are trying to "buy" back their youth or invest in an appreciating collector car market. One group of guys are buying with the heart while the other group are buying instead of investing in the stock market or a CD earning 1% interest.

Actually OldTruckMan, PT Barnum never said that. According to Wikepedia, "There's a SUCKER born every minute" is a phrase most likely spoken by David Hannum, in criticism of both P. T. Barnum and his customers. Just sayin'...

Another thing that some Auctions do is pump pure oxygen into the buyer's arena. This gives the buyers a "happy" buzz so they bid higher and stay longer at the auction. Gambling Casinos do the same thing. Mix pure H2O with unlimited alcohol and you have people gladly opening that wallet.
