Yes, that would be a good assumption due to the fact that any factory gauge is 50+ years old. They do tend to loose there ability to be accurate. Some say and believe that they were never accurate to start with. I suppose it will be one of those arguments.

My objective hear is to learn exactly what the high graduation mark on the gauge represents in PSI since it is not labeled on the gauge.
