Re: ??Oil Pressure high limit on gauge??

The numbers on the lens seem to indicate that the high mark should be 60 psi.

Out of curiosity, I gathered up a few of the 64-66 clusters I have in my stash of spare parts and did some testing like VictoriaHardware described. I hooked them up to the adjustable air pressure regulator & gauge that I use for painting.

4 out of the 5 oil pressure gauges I tested seemed to be pretty accurate. They were on the middle graduation mark with 30 psi and on the high mark with 60 psi (give or take a couple psi). The oddball gauge (and worst looking of the bunch) seemed to be a little bit non-linear. That one was reading at the half way mark with only about 20 psi and was getting up close to the 3/4 mark with 30 psi. But wasn't very far above the high graduation mark at 60 psi.
