super72bb, its been my experience that the GM rockers and the aftermarket ones are about the same as far as fit goes. Most of the replacement panels regardless of where they come from will more times than not, need some tweeking, some more than others.
As you will see in the videos, it took two rockers spliced together to get a good fit on the right side of the project cab. Both on the outside and where the door seal meets the door shell on the inside, and we used NOS doors. BTW, one of the rockers was a GM rocker and the other was aftermarket.
I really think it kind of depends on what you expect your cab to look like when you're done with the repairs. For me, its got to be perfect or very close to perfect and NO BONDO, so naturally its takes more time and effort.
