700 rear trans mount is roughly 1.5 inches further back than a TH350, so the same frame holes won't work...
if I remember correctly, the 2 holes that would be for the rear of the xmember on a th350 application ended up being the 2 front ones for my 700, requiring me to drill new holes for the rear xmember bolts only....
so, for my setup at least, I could use the stock holes for the front of the xmember, and only had to drill for the rear xmember holes.
This was for a smallblock mounted in the stock location on a short stepside truck originally equipped with a 6 cyl and muncie three speed column shift trans...
