Re: leaf spring bushings and popping noise

Does shackle bushings sound right? I see them on internet; even utube. Looked again and the bushings are somewhat dry rotted. I'm hoping someone can tell me that old bushings are the reason a truck would pop when cornering or, is there is another part to look at. Can't find anything loose. If the bushings aren't an issue, I can live with a little dry rot and take care of other issues, lol.
FYI: no grease zerts on rear leafs that i can see. I have seen them pictured on later trucks.
