So as I was cleaning an vacuuming I kept getting flakeing rust coming from behind the firewall insulation pad so I decide to push out the firewall gromet plugs that hold the pad to the firewall. I go ahead an kinda hammer the first one out because it wouldn't come out an whatdoya know it goes through but not without making a bigger hole.
The truck was undercoated but I believe the undercoat in some cases held moisture while others helped it.
