Regular baffles control sloshing, but won't do a thing for fuel starvation beyond delaying it a half a second. Think how fast all the fuel can get to the other end of a normal baffled tank if you tip one end up a foot.

You need an intank sump (or external surge tank) like most factory efi cars have (the white plastic basket design is common). I have good results building a one or two quart container with a ~3/8" hole in a bottom corner to let fuel in. The ones I make run almost to the top of the tank. For over 300hp or extreme cornering I would use trap doors rather than a small hole. That coupled with the return line dumping back into the sump has worked very well for me.
