I got mine from Tuckers in Las Vegas. I paid $200 for it.
I like mine, I would rather have had my original grill (69-70) but they were just too much to pay for, but I hated the fact that my original grill was trashed. I found a 71-72 for $50, then buffed it.
As for opening my hood, I haven't done anything with it yet. I can BARELY get my fingers between the fins to hit the release, it is easier for me to hang myself from the bumper and reach up and just push the latch from behind the grill. My hood pops up far enough for me to do this. But soon I will be doing something that I can just push/pull that is down just behind the bumper.
