Even if you return them, you're most likely going to get the same thing back. The castings are rough.
In the amount of time it takes to type up this forum and the one on FB complaining about them, the problem could have been fixed using a flat file and cleaning up the mating surfaces. There's a good chance the calipers need a little clean up too, and all the paint doesn't help. The surfaces need to be clean and smooth, and apply a touch of anti-seize.

I also strongly recommend a mock up, "dry fit" so to speak on the bench before ever installing anything with multiple pieces. In 5 minutes on the bench you'd know if there was a concern and not waste time installing something them taking it back apart.

That's just me, I'm funny that way.
