If it doesn't have a ridge I'd guess it is pretty low miles. Do you need 292-specific parts like the crank/block/rods, etc? If not, I'd just pick up a dirt cheap 194/230/250 for parts.* 292's aren't all that common, and are by far the most desirable of the sixes.
*Also, if your engine needs those parts, I'd probably use it as the parts/spares engine and run this one. No sense in taking apart a good one to cobble a blown one back together IMO.
I'd personally freshen it up and put it back in something.
