Re: using stock 49 gauges
Stock gauges are 6 volt positive ground on the ammeter and fuel gauges. The oil and speedometer are mechanical. Dash lights are also 6v. If you are planning on using 12v. they can be rebuilt to 12. neg. grnd. or perhaps you can use a 12/6 voltage drop.
