I like your idea of bigger springs. I was going to put fresh coils under all four corners, anyway. I wonder if longer springs exist without a heavier spring rate. I don't really want a rough ride. Blocking up the springs might also be a possibility. Blocking up the body might also work.
Looking at 2WD lift kits for other trucks, I've seen both extended springs and coil spacers. Rough Country offers these for 2WD Chevys 1988 and newer. I am inclined to believe coil spacers could work on my '67 C10. Might the Rough Country spacers fit? If not, maybe I could fabricate some.
Can big tall springs made for some other application, possibly be cut down to fit?
Air bags?
