When they stopped making 7.00 x 17.5 LT bias ply tires, and I had to 'jump up' to 8.00 x 17.5 on the OED [SPID noted] 17.5 x 5.25 Rims --I found I had an extra inch of "Lift". Bigger tires with more circumferance were cooler. My speedo was off- true , but I liked the increased torque. Beefier shocks completed the "Lift Kit". I remember my mechanic gave me a catalog for a crash part company, and there were all manner of silicon/polyurethane spacers to shim up springs, also stiffer or taller spring coils for sale.

Every 25 years I like to rebuild that 292, whether it needs it or not.
