I daily drove my '72 Blazer w/ no top for about a year. Granted, I live in San Diego. As long as it's mechanically sound and you're prepared for the gas bill, it's worth it.

A huge plus is that it won't lose value after you buy it like just about any modern 4x4 you could buy.
