If the inline 6 is still running a points type dist. your could upgrade to an HEI dist. Make sure it is timed and tuned well ( plugs/wires/filters/tire pressure). As Coley suggested overdrives and gearing in the rear differential. More radical adjustments like engine trans swaps to a coil over plug LS engine trans combo. Bruce
