I bet you have the lights aimed too far to the left overall so the highs don't go straight ahead. Each brand is a little different but many have quite a difference L to R between beams. Lows are supposed to be biased to the right with a dark upper left corner to reduce glare for oncoming traffic. If you aim the lows so they light up the whole road you will have highs that go left.

Parts of the highways here in Salt lake are not well lit, and while driving at night, they require heavy use of the high beams
I will take a look at that. I tried to find a balanced center between the high and low beams, but when I have the low beams moved over, i can't see down the road propery. I will take some pictures here shortly and post them tonight.
