The deluxe markers were introduced sometime during the 1969 model year and were only used on the top trim level trucks. The 67s, 68s and at least some of the 69s had reflectors only. For example, my 69 CST was made in Dec. 1968 and had plain markers without bulbs. Later in 1969, CSTs had lighted deluxe markers. There is some debate if lighted markers became a 69 option or were introduced mid-year as standard equipment. I've never seen the lighted versions listed as an option in the literature.

The way the lighted markers "react" to the turn signals also varied. Some, perhaps the earlier years, did not flash with the turn signals. Others (the later years?) flashed alternately with the turn signals.
