I'm 6'5" so I get what you are saying here, however there is one thing that comes to mind.
What do the late 40's early 50's guys do? I mean our trucks can get tight, but my dad's '49 is a FAR tighter fit than my '66.
It just came to mind to see what they do about it, because I'm sure many of those guys do something so that they can fit in there.
