oldiron, if you need more space, I'd be happy to oblige by taking some of that "oldiron" off your hands.
nitne, one idea I'm working on (and have been for years) is to make shelfs/tool storage areas on the wall similar to cabinets. But instead of having seperate doors make one big door and hinge it at the bottom. Maybe in 4 or 5 foot lengths. Attach some square tubing or 4 x 4's for outboard legs that folds in. That way when the door comes down you have a work bench also. But when closed hides all the clutter and leaves valuable floor space. You still have space underneath for stuff. I don't know if I explained this well enough but hopefully you get the picture. They could be any depth and height you want. just remember when you shorten the height you shorten the depth of your work bench.
