also,does anyone know of any good threads rebuilding a 66 impala/caprice steering column?the one i have wont lock on the telscoping part.can i just weld it closed?im getting ready to shorten the shaft a bit so i can push the column in a little bit more.i dont really care for the telescopic part.i would have it pushed all the way in all the time anyways.
