Thanks for your thoughtful reply. There is no substitute for doing the job right. I don't know the Wagoneer's window guts look, but on the Suburban with the window in the down position, the glass completely covers the motor, scissors, wiring and connectors. I am scratching my head about how to connect clean wires to the lift motor and a new battery. THere doesn't seem to be any other way to access the guts unless the window is in the up position.
