I filled the smashed stake holes in mine , but added threaded inserts in each corner before filling , then the same in the bottom four corners , each a 3/8 long nut , welded to a floor cross member below , and the side of the pocket up top.Did it again in my 68 gmc , Won't even think twice about doing it to the 69 I'm doing this winter.
