You can look at my thread from a few months back and I have 55w HID's in a housing similar to what you have pictured. They advance from low to high using a solenoid to change the focal point. They are bright as hell, but the only thing is, I haven't driven my truck yet, so I don't know exactly how great they work at his time...
I bought the same for my dad's '48 for x-mas a few years back, and he loves them!
