I do. I don't use RTV. In fact if you pull the diff cover you can use the gasket again if it's in good shape. Recently I just replaced oil in both diffs. I bought felpro for front and rear. Front gasket in 60 looked good do I re-used it. No RTV no leaks. It's always been that way for me, and always will.

Use recommended gasket torque to 35 ft lbs and forget the RTV.
