By numbness I'm talking about road feel more or less. With the factory power you can use one finger to turn it bugs me for it to be that easy.
I've thought about a manual rack and pinion too. I plan on doing a fiberglass flipnose front end and having lots of aluminum bits up front to cut down on the weight. This should make turning a bit easier with the manual box or rack.
I've had some smaller cars midsize trucks and loved the rack and pinion steering. Even more so when it wasn't power assisted. Just wonder if I can get the same performance out of a standard box. I'll have to check out the links above and check into the caster bit. Thanks guys!
