Sure you can. I had a 1960 Caddy that had "Air Ride Suspension". It would lower itself to the ground when not in use.

When you fire the car up, the compressor would start and raise the car to ride height.

Within an hour or so after shutting the car off it would bleed itself off and lower right back to the ground. There also was a dial & gauge inside of the car to set the max air pressure.

Good way to keep your vehicle from being towed or your tires and rims stolen also.
