You can buy a kit to prevent the power valve from blowing
Properly tuned engine shouldnt backfire but it does happen
Id suggest a 600 edelbrock you can get them at any autozone for about 210 manual choke 240 electric choke
The electric choke is calibrated more for mileage
The manual choke is calibrated more for perfomance.
