The engine should fit lengthwise in any 80's/90's wagon that I know of, especially if the rear seats fold all the way. Your biggest annoyance would be height. Depending on which wagon you've got, the assembled height may be tight. The truck intake manifold and engine cover add a few inches above the valve covers, but you can pop them off pretty fast in a pinch.

Put it this way, if you've ever hauled an SBC, the dimensions aren't any larger in most ways that matter. Transmission length with overdrive adds 2-4" over non OD cases. Point of reference if nothing else./
