It's a 3/4 ton truck. He doesn't know what tranny it is. I want a 4L80E. Did they ever put a 60 behind a 6.0 in a 2500?

The car is a '99 Subaru Legacy Outback.

A friend offered to let me borrow his 2011 Colorado so I might take that. Apparently the guy has a forklift but no cherry picker, so even if the engine fits in the car there might not be any good way to get it in. This truck is my first American vehicle, I haven't pulled a smallblock before (but have pulled the engine and replaced the head gaskets on my Subaru, so I have some mechanical ability).

edit: the donor truck is an 06 if it matters.
