Thanks for trying to keep '66 hubcaps on a '66. The key thing is the clips and the 8 3/4" hubcaps. You need the longer clips off a period 8 lug 3/4 ton wheel. The clips sold today are for 50's cars or 1/2 ton pickups, they are too short. Then, they need to be mounted in the correct location. I'm experimenting with a late model Ford Econoline wheel and a 8 3/4" back opening hubcap. I'm still looking for factory type rivits to permanently and solidly mount clips to wheel, I do not fell comfortable with the screw method.
