Once my dad gets settled at his new shop we will tow the burb over and swap engines. While swapping engines I'm going to try and power was the engine bay, paint and clean up the wiring.

thats the way it starts! then you will end up doing a full rebuild on the whole truck!
looks like you have a good one to start with...whats the overall plans for it?
