the 82 carb has the elect choke but not still functional unless you havea parts carb. I'm sure someone else here on the board could help with that. I also have an 84 carb with elect choke for $55. (known good carb) .
These carbs are always stored in my basement so age does not affect them as they are stored 'dry'. DAVE
