They are the best of the cheap universal shifters.
A Hurst shifter would be a lot better but end up costing over 400 bucks new by the time you bought shifter, correct handle and lever/rod kit. I've had one in my truck since 1989 and outside of taking it apart and cleaning and lubing it every few years it worked flawlessly. Luckily I didn't have to pay new price for it though.
