Re: Do bumper guards really fit this badly???
I had a set of NOS 71's on my 71 when I first bought it. I got them out of Abernethy Chevrolet in Lincolnton NC from the parts manger who I had worked for back in high school. They where still in the orignal box off the shelf and I ran them until I redid the truck. I sold them to a member on here years ago. They looked like these. They used the center top bolts to attach. And as you stated they didn't match my bumper very well either. Back in the 70's they didn't really care about fit and gaps and such on nothing. Point being you more than likely could buy several sets and never get a good matching set.
These are off E Bay

Get out and drive the truck this summer and have some fun!
It sucks not being able to hear!
LWB trucks rule, if you don't think so measure your SWB!
After talking to tech support at Air Lift I have found out that the kit I need is 60811. Per the measurements I gave them. Ride height of truck inside spring and inside diameter of springs.
