I've had the truck since May, but I spent a couple months rounding up parts to get it up and going. New brakes, hoses, belts, tuneup stuff, rebuilt the carb, lowering springs for the rear, wheels and tires, front shocks....etc. I decided to do everything at once so I could do it in the new shop my family bought (family business), so I could do it all on a lift.....sooo much easier that way
Front suspension tore down, ended up cutting a coil and a half off the front springs, removing the bumpstops and brackets and replacing with late model gm 4wd bumpstops mounted straight to the arm (sorry, no pic), and installing front shocks for an early chrysler (I'll have to dig up the number, found it in a thread here

).
Drained gear oil from rearend, replaced both axle bearings (had to put repair bearings in because of rust from sitting so long). And when I did the brakes, I replaced everything, wheel cylinders, shoes, hardware, brake hoses, brake lines, and converted to a dual reservoir master cylinder.
All back together with 5" drop springs (no c-notch yet), new 15x8 smoothie wheels and 235/70r15 Generals.....I was so happy the ride height came out where it did
I got lucky and the fuel tank was bone dry, so I didn't have to drain any nasty old gas out of the tank. New fuel hoses, inline fuel filter, fuel pump, rebuilt carb, and all new tune-up stuff, and she fired up without too much fuss. First time moving under her own power for who knows how long.
Oh, and I did all this over the 4th of July weekend.....it was a long 3 days......
