Having parted 30+ trucks over the past 6 years, and most being typical New England rust buckets, I feel somehwat qualified to provide you with my advise.
I have never lost money parting any truck out that I paid $700 or less for. Heck, I've even made money parting $1200 - $1500 AZ rust-free 3/4 ton 2wd trucks after paying x-country shipping!
That being said, most of the trucks I bought were running and complete, but had been sitting for a while. I also looked for optioned trucks that were complete and original regardless of body condition, year or drivetrain/wheelbase.
Money can be made off the smallest of items because there are a lot of nuts

out there who want OE parts for a stocker. Items like hubcaps

, radios, radio knobs/brackets, uncut wiring harnesses, door panels, door guts, knobs, handles, latches, columns, engine accessory brackets, visors, mirrors, etc etc etc. Basically the higher degree of granularity in your willingness to part will determine how much can be recouped. Plus the smaller/lighter the part, the easier it is to ship. The down side is the longer time to recoup and the longer you have to hang onto stuff, not to mention the work involved. Large items like rear ends, trannys, etc are tough to move unless you're willing to discount. I've sold rears for $25, hoods for $10, trannys for $50, etc.
My advice, the truck as described is worth no more than $250, then you have to factor in the cost of hauling it off.
It's a buyers market because of this board (that's a good thing) and the fact that repops are getting less expensive. Plus shipping items is a real PITA, so don't expect to retire. If you break even and get the parts you want for free, it's worth it IMO.
If you get it, I may be interested in the 4 speed column and a few other pieces to.
