Re: 1972 GMC Sierra Grande

I had a Fremont '72 Sierra Grande in red orange & white with parchment, but had tilt (which changes some things). The door panels, headliner, seatbelts, and herringbone seat were parchment. The carpet was black as well as the a/c vents. The tilt meant black dash pad, column, and steering wheel. Not sure if the tilt is why the a/c vents were black and not body color. The instrument panel is supposed to be chrome on the outer rim and the glovebox door was black. I had a Cheyenne Super the same colors from Fremont and that had a body color glovebox door. GMC matched the glovebox door to interior color and the non-Sierra Grandes would have where your cluster is woodgrain painted interior color (with chrome rim). I'm pretty sure yours would have had a Sandalwood column, wheel, and dash pad and if so, the glovebox door too). we really need to see some original sierra grande '72s with parchment interiors and no tilt to be sure.

That's really something when a guy makes his living driving a truck and gets mad when he has to use some driving skill. If he used his brain he could have called and asked the situation before pulling in. I would never assume there would be enough room to turn a car carrier around. The dairy farm across the road has a long lane and the tanker backs all the way in everyday. That's his job
