We're starting to fit the cylinder/scissor lift into the frame and are figuring out a few things...
It's going to have to sit on top of the truck frame (driveline clearance) so we removed the rear crossmember we had previously flipped upside down to support the lift framework (won't work like we had thought
) and added some internal gussets into the frame where the front bed feet hit, the lower lift pivot will sit, and the frame splice is.
We then boxed the frame in from just behind the rear cab mounts, over the gussets, and back to the previously boxed rear portion of the frame.
I'm not worried about the integrity of the frame in this area...
Got some smoothing to do tomorrow then onto the lift mounts...
